Spammy birth chart maker

View your birth chart in several formats, if you can stand the advertising.

MB Astrology Birth Chart lets users view birth charts from several different astrological traditions. Although the birth charts are fine, the ad-filled interface leaves something to be desired.

The first screen of the program is so cluttered with ads for Mystic Board, the program's publisher, it's hard to find the small button that allows you to continue to the program itself. Once there, users enter the date, time, and location of their birth, and the program displays the birth chart in Vedic North Indian Style, Vedic South Indian Style, Vedic East Indian Style, or Western Style. The charts themselves are fine, although the program offers no means of interpretation; the online Help file is devoted solely to the program's functions. Beyond displaying the birth chart, the program offers very little in the way of features. Users who purchase the program can save the birth charts as JPEGs, though this function is disabled in the trial version. That's really all there is to it, so if you're looking for a program that provides a lot of analysis or features, look elsewhere.

MB Astrology Birth Chart has a 30-day trial period, which is plenty of time for evaluation. The program installs desktop icons without asking and leaves a folder behind upon removal. The program will also open a Web page encouraging users to buy it every time the program is closed. We recommend this program with reservations; it does produce birth charts, but all the advertising and nagging are major drawbacks.
