Intuitive movie database

Keep track of the movies you own with integrated information from IMDb.

MovieFinder provides an easy and intuitive way for users to keep track of their movies. With information provided by Internet Movie Database, the program offers much more than just a list of films.

The program's interface is sleek and well-organized with tabs, allowing users to easily and intuitively access the program's features. Adding new movies is easy; users enter the title and the program searches IMDb, allows the user to select the correct result, and then loads information about the movie, including a synopsis and the movie poster. Users can keep track of who they loan their movies to, specify genres for each movie, choose a one-to-five star rating, and enter their own notes. We were able to quickly and easily create a library of the movies we own with plenty of detailed information both from IMDb and of our own creation. It's easy to browse all movies in an alphabetized list or search movies using a variety of criteria. The online Help file is well-written for users who need assistance. Although the program has a ton of features, they are easy to navigate. There is a bit of a lag the first time each movie's information loads from IMDb, but this is understandable and not a major drawback. The program's many features and ease of use make it stand out among similar programs.

MovieFinder has a trial period of 30 days. It comes as a ZIP file, installs desktop icons without asking, and it leaves icons and folders behind upon removal. We recommend this program to all users.
