Tons of options

Keep your system running on all cylinders with this comprehensive maintenance program.

EnhanceMyVista Pro offers users all the tools they need to keep their computers running on all cylinders. The well-thought-out user interface makes it especially easy to make the most of its features.

The program packs a lot of information into its user interface, but it's organized in such way as to not overwhelm. It uses tabs to divide features into four categories: Tools, System, Optimizations, and Customizations. Within each tab are intuitive command buttons to access specific optimization tools. We were impressed with the program's wide array of options for not only cleaning the registry and hard disk space, but also for managing context menu options and the Desktop. Starting with the Registry Cleaner, we found that it scanned our registry in record time. An alarming number of error files were produced, and we could see and manage all of them in the Details panel. As soon as we clicked the Delete button, selected error files were immediately removed from our system. Other standouts for the program include the Recent Items Cleaner, which let us instantly delete temporary files, recent documents, and the like. We also liked the Internet Explorer tools, which let us disable, lock, and even remove toolbars without ever having to leave EnhanceMyVista Pro's interface.

Should you need it, the program's Help feature directs you to the publisher's Web site for ample explanations and how-tos. Most won't need any guidance in the program's operation, but novice users are cautioned against deleting registry files with this, or any, program. The 15-day trial isn't great, but it's still enough time to get familiar with EnhanceMyVista Pro. For those comfortable deleting registry items and who are looking for an all-in-one optimization program, we highly recommend EnhanceMyVista Pro.
