BestCrypt claims to utilize the highest security standards to encrypt and, therefore, protect your data. But with what we're assuming was a program glitch, our trial period immediately expired, so it was look, but don't touch for the extent of our tests.
The program can be accessed through a taskbar icon. The user interface appears to be very easy to navigate. Self-explanatory command buttons for mounting, unmounting, and creating new containers reside at the top of the window, while a tree-menu gives you access to your hard disks, recently mounted files, and any newly created virtual drives. The program offers key generation, hot key combinations for mounting files, but since we couldn't access them, we have no idea if they work as promised. For users that are unfamiliar with file encryption or mounting files, a very extensive Help menu lays it all out for you.
According to the publisher's description, the program comes with a 30-day trial period. But as soon as we installed the program, we were told that our trial period had expired. That said, we certainly can't recommend a program that we didn't get a chance to fully test.
