Worms Forts: Under Siege
'Worms Forts: Under Siege' puts you in command of a crack team of up to four fort-dwelling worms.
The Worms franchise is known for witty quips, fantastic environments, and well-balanced multiplayer strategy. The latest addition, Worms Forts, adds the concept of fortifications to the turn-based battles. The game looks fantastic, runs smoothly, and is as funny as ever; however, the demo lacks instuctions and will probably seem frustrating at first.
Each of your worms has 60 seconds to make his move; then the other team follows, one worm at a time. Build fortifications first, because firing a weapon ends your turn. Right-clicking brings up a menu of weapons and structures. Cool weapons like the flying bishop with exploding Bibles and the Trojan donkey are available from specific buildings, but the lack of documentation means you'll have to figure them out yourself. Two included tutorial levels help you learn the ropes, but we never got the hang of moving the 3D camera. Given the demo's 478MB download size, a fast connection is a must.
