There are several word games to choose from for the iPhone, but WordsWorth adds just enough unique features and in-game bonuses to make it one of our favorites. You can play two different game types--Timed and Classic--in which you are challenged to make words by connecting letters from hexagonal tiles. Each word you make erases those tiles from the board, letting new tiles slide into their place.
Just looking for words and getting points on our way to the end of the round made us like the game, but WordsWorth offers a few other twists to make the game more enjoyable. Red tiles explode when their timer runs out, making you work feverishly to find a word that uses that red tile. Green tiles add a bonus to your word score so you try to make big words that include the green tile. These unique tiles make an already fun game more interesting.
Our only problem with this game is the haunting, but ultimately repetitive music, but it's easily remedied by turning the music off--only one of many features you can play with in the settings. Over all we think this is one of the best word games for the iPhone or iPod Touch and makes for a great time waster you'll return to again and again.
