The GOM Media Player (hands-on review) is more than meets the eye. The free multimedia player has presets to optimize sound quality (see CNET video) and some interesting built-in tools for capturing images (see CNET video) and correcting exposure for video playback. It also supports subtitles for karaoke glory.

Meet GOM Media Player in the First Look video below, or see other First Look videos.

I used to have about a dozen free video players all installed on my PC, each had a purpose and had certain files tied to it. GOM has replaced them all, with its easy interface and the fact that it plays just about anything you can find, it was easy to uninstall everything else.

Thanks Jessica for putting out the vid and spreading the word.

Ive had GOM for awhile now. Before I had about a dozen video players installed on my PC, each tied to a few file types that they were best at, none being a great all around player. Well, GOM plays everything, and beyond that, it does them all extremely well. For a free player this has alot of extra features you dont usually see.

Good report Jessica.
