Rockbox Problem with iPod Mini

i downloaded and used the rockbox with my 2nd gen. ipod mini. the only & BIG problem is that when i try to initialize the database i get a "DATA ABORT at 00040350" which makes the ipod freezes. then i have to reboot it to re-use it but still cant access the music already on it. Any can help plz?!

Help please!

When i try to open ipodpatcher, I i get the message: The application failed to initalize properly (0xc0000142). Click OK to terminate the appliaction.
Could anyone please tell me how to fix this?

try ending Processes

by htirarith September 8, 2007 4:34 PM PDT: Ive tried this...it does do alot...everything the ipod couldnt do, it does...but its a lil, actually alot different from the standard os fer the iPod...its takes bit getting used to (as most open source systems)...u even have an available option to use wallpapers :D (if u can figure out how to that is)...

to uninstall just delete the .rockbox file off ur ipod it'll work jus the way it used to...i wussed out though, love the doPi too much...; Like this Reply to this comment

Does this break the warranty for my ipod?

by playsatan November 13, 2007 4:45 AM PST: this is and interesting idea. i my self do the same for many of my gadgets, my psp, my computer, my brothers DS and now my ipod.
as always if u have a problem caused by running the other OS on ur ipod ur warrenty is probably gone, how ever if something like u had a power out when ur ipod was up dating or something mechanical u can run the other OS and repatch the ipod or u can delete rock box and send it back to apple for repairs.
this is realy handy as most companys dont let ppl use open source programs on their units (the psp and DS for example) but its almost like apple is allowing us to do this, and u dont need a chip or a new mother board to do so.
im not sure if the warrenty will still be valid if they find out u had a differant OS because apple are totaly against illegal data sharing.; Like this Reply to this comment

After having installed the rockbox and booted my ipod on twice or thrice (bdw the program seemed to had some problem, it would freez my ipod completely) my ipod can no longer be switched on. The buttons r no longer responding and I,ve tried everything to switch it on- connecting it to my pC, charging it with the power adaptor- nothing worked.
