TV and movie fans: one of the best streaming media and entertainment discovery apps for iOS just got better with three new content providers.

Fanhattan for iOS (download for iPhone or iPad) already let you discover and watch TV and movies on your iOS device from many popular services including Netflix, Hulu Plus, iTunes, Vudu, and ABC. Starting today, Fanhattan has added a wealth of new content from PBS, Crackle, and Lifetime.

The Fanhattan App offers a great layout for entertainment discovery. To get started, you choose between TV or Movies on the home screen. From there, Fanhattan offers several ways to dig in to your favorite shows, letting you swipe to browse related content like reviews from Metacritic, trailers, actor and crew bios, and much more. The app also lets you know if the show you're browsing can be viewed immediately through popular services like Hulu or Netflix. If you pick a show with episodes available to watch online, the app will launch the service (Netflix for iOS, for example) so you can watch the show. Alternatively, Fanhattan will offer ways for you to buy and download movies and shows when available.

With the addition of PBS, Crackle, and Lifetime, viewers will now be able to watch their favorite shows from each catalog. For a taste of the new content, PBS' offerings include hit shows like "Nova," "Antiques Roadshow," and live music shows from "Austin City Limits." The Crackle service will let users watch full-length movies and TV classics like "Seinfeld," "I Dream of Jeannie," and "All in the Family." With Lifetime, you'll get reality TV shows like "Project Accessory" and hit television comedies like "How I Met Your Mother." Like everything on Fanhattan, all of the new content comes with access to show details, actor bios, soundtracks, fan gear info, and more.

Fanhattan is free at the iTunes App Store and, with the additional services, is a great starting point for discovering new or classic TV and movies.
