Curious about the new iLife? You can get a look at all the new features in this gallery of iPhoto, iMovie, GarageBand, and iWeb.

I am having a problem with the places view. And I found out it's a bug many others are experiencing. Even when I am connected to the net, I get a message saying that I am not connected.

I received my iLife 09 yesterday. I really like the faces option in iPhoto. It's not automatic since you have to confirm who the person is but iLife makes it easy to confirm and get through alot of pictures. Garage Band look interesting but I never used it before so meh. iMovie looks cool. I have Final Cut Express but there are some options in iMovie that Express does not have (smooth cam, travel map). I'll probably end up using iMovie for certain clips. Love iDVD so we'll see how the new one works. iWeb I never used.

I am not upgrading to '09 in the economy !!

The reason I do not use iPhoto is very simple: iPhoto keeps 3 copies of every photo in your library.

I don't want 3 copies of every single photo, that is wasted space !!

I strongly prefer to maintain my photos in folders -- much easier to manage, backup and delete when needed.

I see iPhoto more like a big garbage truck: In other words, it stinks !!
