CNET TV: Sneak a peek at Windows 7

Take a first look at Windows 7. Building on Windows Vista, Microsoft's latest operating system isn't due until some time in 2009, most likely around the holidays.

However, this alpha build that we've gotten our hands on is surprisingly stable for what it is. CNET Editor Rob Vamosi shows you what Windows 7 can do, what it can't, and talks briefly about whether it's worth waiting to upgrade from XP.

Seth peers into the deep, dark corners of software so that you don't have to. He has yet to suffer a single nightmare about OS/2. You can follow him on Twitter.

You can't stick with XP forever. It will be not supported by MS eventually. Probably by the release of 7. It kicks the crap out of Vista.

And yeah get the video to work in Firefox.

Make sure you've updated your installation of Flash to the latest version of v10. I have no problems playing these videos in Firefox 3 with Flash 10.

Another possibility is that you're running an ad blocker extension like Ad Block Plus. Unfortunately, it blocks the ads in our videos and the entire video, too. I know our tech support team is working on a solution, but you may have to turn on ads on CNET to see the vids for now. Sorry!
