Candy Pop Saga review

Candy Pop Saga is a puzzle game that challenges you to work through increasingly difficult levels with varied goals to unlock more adventures. You can compete against yourself, or connect with Facebook to see how your skills stack up against those of your friends.

Like many similar games, Candy Pop Saga features a grid-like display filled with different colored candies. However, the mechanics of this game are a bit different from what you might be used to, as you only need to tap groups of candies twice to remove them from the board; and they are not replaced as you … Read more

BlueStacks' microgaming GamePop console, announced last year, has been delayed until late in the second quarter, according to a company representative. But at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, they've got what they hope is enough to keep players enticed: the big guns, major game makers.

Chrome fights back against settings hijackers

Google is taking aggressive steps to combat what it says is the No. 1 complaint in its Chrome browser: having your settings hijacked.

The company first took measures to address the problem in August when it introduced a "reset browser settings" button on the Settings page in Chrome, but that wasn't enough to fix things.

Now, Chrome will ask Windows users automatically via a pop-up if you want to reset your settings when it detects that they might've been changed without your permission. It will disable all extensions, themes, and Chrome Apps you have installed. It … Read more

Alcatel Pop 7 and Pop 8 bring LTE to cheap tablets

LAS VEGAS -- Alcatel is back with two new tablets coming to North America, but with no actual US release date. The One Touch Pop 7 and Pop 8 are both extremely modestly-spec'ed tablets that appear to focus on their LTE capability over performance. Neither price nor release date have yet been unveiled.

The One Touch Pop 7 is a 7-inch tablet with a 1,024x600 resolution TFT screen. It's not an IPS screen, and its viewing angles are painfully narrow as a result. The tablet houses a 1.3GHz dual-core CPU, a 2-megapixel rear camera, and a … Read more
