AOL drops Limbaugh over 'slut' comments

Rush Limbaugh may own the talk radio airwaves, but he's clearly losing the PR battle against critics who mobilized over the Internet after the host repeatedly described a Georgetown law student as a "slut" and a "prostitute."

On Monday, AOL became the eighth advertiser to suspend sponsor support for Limbaugh's daily talk show program. The others include Sleep Number, Sleep Train, Quicken Loans, Legal Zoom, Citrix, Carbonite, and ProFlowers.

Surgeons using iPads in operating rooms

Georgetown University has begun a program that uses iPads in their operating rooms to assist doctors with complicated operating procedures.

The iPads allow surgeons easy access to all sorts of medical data, imagine, and processes during an operation. The ease of using iOS comes in handy (no pun intended), since no stylus or keyboards are needed. It's quick and efficient, according to a Journal of Surgical Radiology statement:

Report: Georgetown University bans use of Windows 7 beta

Georgetown University is banning the use of the Windows 7 beta, informing students and faculty it will not support the trial version of Microsoft's latest operating system, according to a report in InformationWeek

The university's information technology group notes it generally does not support any beta version of software, unless otherwise noted.

And in the case of the Windows 7 beta, the Georgetown IT group reiterates Microsoft's warning that the beta could disable security software, as well as cause other hardware, such as printers and video cards, to function incorrectly, according to the report.
