Amazon is said to be looking to create its own version of Apple's popular iTunes Radio. According to The Wall Street Journal, the e-commerce giant has reportedly been in talks with major record labels to create its own music-streaming service.

The service would reportedly be available to Amazon Prime customers -- who pay $79 per year for free two-day shipping and Amazon's video-streaming service. The music service is said to be like iTunes Radio that plays music based on user preferences, rather than a subscription service like Spotify that gives users unlimited music access.

Vimeo relaunches On Demand pay-for-play platform

For the first birthday of Vimeo On Demand, the video-sharing site is giving its pay-for-play platform an overhaul.

Monday, user-created-video site Vimeo released its refreshed version of Vimeo On Demand, which is a feature of its $199-a-year subscription known as Vimeo Pro.

Vimeo Pro lets creators upload higher-quality video and get access to tools like Vimeo On Demand, which packages and sells videos to viewers on the terms the creator specifies. Vimeo also gets a 10 percent cut of the pay-for-play sales, but the rest goes directly to the people who created the video.

In a bid to get an exclusive hold on the most promising content it can, video-hosting site Vimeo is taking the Kickstarter ethos of directly connecting fans with creators and flavoring it with a dash of Netflix -- and $10 million.

Woo-hoo! FX app will legally stream every episode of 'The Simpsons'

It's pretty easy to catch reruns of "The Simpsons," which in some TV markets air twice daily. But if you want to watch the show on the go, or watch a particular episode, you're out of luck unless you buy it from your favorite app store.

With the US government's botched rollout of, it appears some techie types are thinking about how to startup-ify doctor visits for the country's upper class.

Phone 5S supply finally matches demand, says analyst

The iPhone 5S is now fully stocked at Apple Stores, says Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster.

In his latest survey of 60 US Apple retail stores, conducted on December 4, Munster found that 100 percent of iPhone 5S models were in stock at each store. That number was up from 24 percent two weeks ago and 8 percent at the start of October.

Uber kicks off the holidays with Christmas tree deliveries

Uber passengers may be getting a faint whiff of pine trees in their next ride. That's because the car service is kicking off a promotion to deliver Christmas trees to customers' doorsteps.

To promote its service, Uber has teamed up with The Home Depot to deliver on-demand Christmas trees in 10 US cities for one-day only. iPhone 5S supply continues to try to catch up with demand.

As of Monday, Apple's US online store lists an estimated wait time of three to five business days for all variations of the popular 5S. That's an improvement over the one to two weeks listed a little more than a week ago.

Prior to last week, 5S buyers faced a wait of two to three weeks before the phone would ship.
