Dream League Soccer review

Dream League Soccer gives you the ability to put together your own soccer team, develop players, and compete against other teams. The graphics are good, the interface is intuitive and attractive, and the action is realistic. It's possible to win big in this league, but you'll have to put in the time and effort to get to the top.

The first thing you have to do when you start playing Dream League Soccer is to pick your team captain from a list of eight players. Tapping one of these players brings up their stats and ratings, so you … Read more

Facebook ordered to take down anti-Semitic page

Facebook is under fire from the Anti-Defamation League about a page titled "Jewish Ritual Murder." The group, which battles anti-Semitism and racism, has ordered the social network to remove the page.

"The 'Jewish Ritual Murder' page on Facebook perpetuates age-old anti-Semitic propaganda, and it should be removed immediately," ADL national director Abraham H. Foxman said in a statement. "It is profoundly offensive, has no socially redeeming value, and adds nothing to any legitimate marketplace of ideas."

The page in question hasn't had much action from users. It only has a handful of likes, … Read more

Wonder Woman standalone film will star Gal Gadot

Break out your Wonder Woman Underoos, the Amazonian superhero may finally be getting her own movie. Variety reports actress Gal Gadot has signed a three-picture deal with Warner Bros. to play the famous DC Comics character.

Gadot is an Israeli actress who was recently cast to sport the likely skin-tight costume in the upcoming Batman versus Superman movie. The multi-movie contract will also bring her on board for a Justice League movie, and (wait for it) a standalone Wonder Woman film.… Read more

Is this gamer laughably serious?

Strange pieces of video fly around the Web like seagulls over a beach.

This work of art, however, landed upon me and forced me to put down my lunch, as my breakfast decided to stage a rebellion. Of laughter, that is.

As I understand it, this is a real scene from Major League Gaming. This is a real person participating in spirited competition.

And this is, to my eyes, one of the more peculiar exhibitions of commitment that I have witnessed in some years. … Read more

FIFA 14 is the best yet

FIFA 14 (iOS|Android) is this year's upgrade to what I think is the best sports game on iOS devices, and this latest version does not disappoint. Now with even more licensed teams, more leagues, more players, and refined controls, this game just seems to keep getting better.

Having played many of the previous versions of the franchise on consoles and all of the various soccer games on mobile, the FIFA franchise continues to be the best soccer game on iOS, adding even more content than last year's installment, with 600 fully licensed teams to play, over 16,… Read more

Disabled gamer: The inspirational story of Keith 'Aieron' Knight

Keith Knight doesn't use his hands to defeat other players in video games such as League of Legends. Knight, who has muscular dystrophy, instead uses his cheek to control a mouse, his leg to press external switches mapped to game commands, and a pen in his mouth to type on a keyboard.

A documentary released this week shows what real life is like for the 27-year-old disabled gamer -- better known online as "Aieron" -- who resides in an assisted living community in British Columbia, Canada. Knight has a form of MS called amyoplasia arthrogrypos. From birth, this condition caused his body to form less muscle mass while his joints gradually stiffened over the years.… Read more

League of Legends is hacked, with crucial user info accessed

Hackers have breached the system of one of the world's most popular online video games: League of Legends.

Riot Games, which developed League of Legends, announced Tuesday that some usernames, e-mail addresses, salted password hashes, first and last names, and even some salted credit card numbers have been accessed. The salted data is somewhat protected, but if users have easily guessable passwords, their information could be susceptible to theft, Riot Games warned.

The affected users are only those who live in North America. While the accessed credit card information is alarming, it pertains only to records from 2011 and … Read more

Review: Stick Cricket Premier League offers great graphics and smooth gameplay

Stick Cricket Premier League boasts stylish graphics and quick performance, but it's a little difficult to get the hang of, at first. It's not as easy to figure out as similar batting games, which might be a little off-putting. The sheer number of options and customization makes it a ton of fun to play, though.

The game lets you join and control your favorite team from the Indian Premier League, but other cricket leagues don't join in on the fun. You can create a character, but you can only customize the name, skin, and hair color of … Read more
