It has a simple user interface; it integrates in Windows Explorer.
Cons
I would improve the application's GUI with some nice, aesthetical icons.
Summary
Highly recommended.
Sorry, not the portable, but the installable version integrates into Windows Explorer.

"Excellent software. Much better than winrar."
Version: 7-Zip Portable 9.20 Rev 2
Pros
Compression rate, security options, Layout. 7zip compression is really one of the best between popular methods.

Don't zip rar files (since it is free and has no licence) but decompress. Solution: dont use rar anymore.
Summary
And its free of "Buy me" annoying links.

"No better product than 7zip for what it does"
Version: 7-Zip Portable 9.20 Rev 2
Pros
Very compact .7z archive.
Opens all forms of archives.
I like how it opens .exe .xpi .oxt and other things I fiddle with.
PortableCons
Can't think of any.
Summary
If you only use Window's basic compression than you are missing out. Not every computer installs 7zip, so having the portable version ensures that you can have it wherever you go and where you need it. A very nice program. Uses the cores and RAM of my computer well.
