Tried on several occasions to unzip about 6 different files and it wouldn't.

It does what zippers are meant to do.
Cons
put to many options in to many places.
esample:when you right click on a file anywhere it will come up an option under i think ''paste'' or under ''scan viruses'' where when you highight over it it will give you about 10 choices to do with the program.i didn't like that.

I had to compress a file to email. It got to 99% quickly and then still was not finished after 6 hours.

A tree type navigation would be alot easier than the type of navigation it uses.

Not sure there is any real advantage over winzip or winrar.. Of course, it is free.

7-Zip is free and functions very well. First, its fast, small in size (less than 1MB!), and free! Supports a load of file types, simple and easy to see where the options are when using it.
Cons
Well, the icons aren't very nice, although it is a very small price to pay for something that's free and does a lot more than a lot other paid compression programs do. It also doesn't pack .RAR, sadly. I would love it if it would.
