"DON'T DO IT!!!!"
Pros
Its a form for downloading books
Cons
This programme embeds itself deeply into your computer. If you want to delete it it is near to impossible without a pro Uninstaller program that I had to download just to get rid of the worm this programme puts into your system. It changes your home page options on log in. I kept changing my Firefox back to default. Would sign on again and there was the 4shared homepage. I emailed the company and they sent me a list of how to get rid of it on all browsers. THAT DIDN'T WORK and they would not answer anymore emails.
Summary
this company should be reported for their programme is the worst case of a worm/trojan I have ever seen in my life. The company send you a step that does not work to get rid of it. You do a program uninstall in windows and in searching it shows the 4shared gone yet it is in your system and constantly changing your browser homepage to it. I like to use the prompt to go back to my last tabs. 4Shared will change the home page to itself and keep changing when you try to change it back. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PROGRAMME

LadySharlyne is absolutely right!! I installed this program and it hijacked all three of my primary browsers; IE, Firefox and Chrome. Had a heck of a time getting them back to "normal" (left Safari alone, oddly enough...). But I still have the remnants of "4shred" (as I will now call it), on said browsers. It would have been nice if the program had asked permission, but this just seems to go along with the mentality of its "creators".
STAY AWAY!! (You've been warned!)
