"I design a tool, take a print to the forge, and make it"
Pros: The even the FREE version has full animation. 3DCanvas works using a drag and drop method. Whatever you make can be sent to your printer. The PRO ver. is $69.95 USDollars. For what this program can do, it is a great, great price!!!
Cons: There are textures that can be downloaded, getting them to show in the dropdowns can be tricky. But, THAT is all that I find wrong with 3DC
Summary: Being a Ornamental Blacksmith, I make my own tools. 3D Canvas allows me to design whatever I need, easily. I've used the program for 9yrs. It works with WIN. 98SE, ME, XP, XP2, XP3 AND VISTA ( note: These operating sytems I have personally used with 3DCanvas . I have the PLUS ver. and intend on upgrading to PRO soon.
PLUS AND PRO vers. allow you the use of their website. Just GO and get PRO .... www.amabilis.com. This free version offered here, it works reeally well, and I used an earlier version for years before buying PLUS.
