This mysterious yet well-designed screensaver hyptonizes with the otherwordly, morphing creatures it brings to your PC. 3D Alien Aquarium Screen Saver gives viewers a unique twist on the ubiquitous fish-tank theme by replacing the fish with alien specimens, including octopi, worms, and tadpoles. The onscreen creature will change shape before your eyes, then shuffle away so another species can take center stage. We really appreciated this program's excellent graphics, and all the aliens demonstrate fluid, smooth movements. The atmospheric sound effects, which convey the right ambience, also are a nice touch. We were really impressed with 3D Alien Aquarium Screen Saver's large feature set. For example, you can change the time of day, decide how long each alien stays onscreen, choose among several backgrounds, and increase the amount of bubbles and light rays to display. An occasional nag screen disrupts the mesmerizing show, but since that's the only demo restriction, we can't complain much. We recommend this program to a wide variety of users, though science-fiction buffs will take particular interest.
