Pros: This new edition offers many good things. It is no longer a beta version. This is the full version! Its great!! Scans fast, low resources. To have a tray icon: open windows defender from start-windows defender-windows defender. Once it is open click tools, then options, scroll down, then click always (under choose when windows defender icon apperas in the notification area.) To check for updates, open windows defender from the tray menue that now appears afer doing the steps derciped above, or click start, windows defender-windows defender. once open, lick the down arrow next to the blue question mark. Then click check for updates. There you can check for updates. This program scans fast and is free. It scanned my 30 gb. hard drive, in less then 10 minites. (Quick scan) The full scan will probably take 30 minites to an hour. I liked this new version better.

had any issues with spybot you wanted fixed? these are fixed in this new version

Pros: Fist off, I had the original version 5, then i did beta testing for the next 2 beta's that happened. Over the time with people participating in the forums, I am glad to see they released this new version. This new version fixes all the known issues that you may have encountered using the original spybot. There is now a separate updater system, and it works alot smoother then the first version 5 they released. updating now takes less time, and i have dial up! I can update on a dial up connection in about 1 minute. (if there is for example, 3 updates to download.) Scan time has improved on my machine, teatimer (spybots resident protection) takes less system usage then before. There is improved crash performance. When i killed the spybot process, it starts up just as fast as if it was never killed, compared to version 4. The Major slow startup bug has been fixed, takes only exactly 3 seconds on my machine to load, Even with 5 other items on your taskbar. Also, if your running vista, it fixed several known bugs in there to. I participate in there forums, thats why i have all this info. I do not work for spybot, I just take part in there forums which you can reach at the spybot home page. I rly like this version, and i believe this is finally the best spybot version that has ever been released, by far the best, compared to the older ones. I am very happy with this product, good job spybot team!!

Cons: You cannot download new spybot versions within the program. You have to go to there website or sites like download.com

ok ppl listen up

Pros: this is a viruis cleaner, meaning that if u think u have a viruis that your CURRENT antiviruis program is missing, u can run this tool to check for certain baddies, viruises. For a complete full antiviruis program, use avast home edition (completaly free) or use avg. If you go onto avast.com it says this: If you know that your computer has been infected by a known virus/worm (such as MyDoom, Netsky, Beagle etc.) try using our FREE avast! Virus Cleaner.

THIS IS NOT AN ANTIVIRUIS PROGRAM TO PROTECT YOUR PC, ITS A PROGRAM TO SEARCH FOR CERTAIN TYPES OF VIRUISES. kinda like microsofts malcilous software removal tool.
