TVUPlayer

Version: 2.2.0

Excellent TV Tuner for your PC

Pros: It has quite a large array of English-speaking (and Chinese) streaming live channels. The interface is full-screen and skinned. It doesn't seem to be a resource hog at all, but I've tested it on 3M DSL connection, with Core2 CPU and 2G RAM. The delay between actual TV broadcast and the streaming version is usually less than 1 minute.

Cons: Since it was launched few weeks ago, TVU player has dropped several major stations such as CNN and HBO, probably for legal reasons. My fear is that it will continue to do so, eventually leaving nothing but Chinese stations. For this reason, I can't give it more than 4 stars, because of what it seems to be a temporary nature of this tuner. Interestingly, ABC News (which provides a legal free 600kbps streaming) isn't included in the list here.

FoxyTunes

Version: 2.9.6

I fail to see the point of this program

Pros: Nothing

Cons: My Foobar2000 player sits in the tray, so the advantage of using FoxyTunes instead of the player requires a movement of my wrist equivalent to a quarter of an inch. And keep in mind that every extension slows down Firefox a little.

Netlicious

Version: 1.0b15

Memory Hog but without Added Functionality

Pros: It does what it claims, but it fails to mention that you can do the same thing from the delicious website

Cons: This program uses the Microsoft .NET framework, which causes the program to balloon to 50-100megs of memory usage

It adds absolutely no extra functionality over what is available from the delicious website.

I was hoping for the ability to edit many websites simultaneously (similar to the defunct Powermarks) but no such luck

DeepBurner

Version: 1.1.2.137

Nero Refused to Work, but Deepburner Did the Job

Nero has become a bloatware and is harder to make it work with CD burner. Deepburner has no such problems. It worked on both my CD burner and DVD burner without a major problem. It definitely needs a data verification feature though.
