Excellent product. Highly reliable

Pros: I have not used the trial version provided from download.com but I've cracked it and I'm using the full version instead. Hence, I cannot comment on the trial version. I find the full version to be excellent. It blocks intrusion the minute they come and the user has predefined options on how to treat these intrusions. I've checked the programme with several sites known for loading your machine with adware and trojans and bitdefender seems to have allocated and blocked all of them. The hard-disk (system) scan revealed trojans which other engines failed to locate.

In case you want to compare it with a worthy alternative, I recommend Mcaffee version 8.0.

Cons: BEWARE! Do not install this software whilst having other antivirus software installed on your machine. It will kill your system resources and it will make your machine work dead slow. It appears to have a particular dislike for any Panda software.

The firewall provided is somewhat simplistic but is of average quality. Definately not compared with the likes of Zonealarm Pro though.
