Entertainment
Let's face it, most of us bought an iPad because it's fun. Of course productivity will be there but with the right apps and a couple of swipes, great entertainment can also be found. Catch up on TV shows, mix your own jams, or listen to the latest hit album, here are some of the apps you want to grab.

Netflix for iPad
If you have a subscription to Netflix's video service, this app is a no-brainer. Free to download, the Netflix app can do anything the Web browser version of the Netflix does, and better. Browse TV shows and movies in HD wherever you are. Search, queue lists, recommendations, and subtitles are all there. Just remember not to go over your mobile limit with this data-hogging app; use WiFi whenever possible.
Its straightforward design starts off with a home screen that shows off fun, featured content like "goofy crime comedies" and "dark dramas based on contemporary literature." Of course you can also browse for flicks and shows by more typical genres, like Action and Television. The app shows you all the details: the rating, synopsis, and the list of episodes for TV shows. GarageBand
It's amazing what five bucks can get you these days--GarageBand is essential for any aspiring musician with an iPad. Appropriately titled, GarageBand comes with a slew of instruments like guitars, pianos, drum kits, and string quartets. Instruments are played via touch, complete with graphical layouts of full drum sets, fretboards, and keyboard layouts.
The program is very beginner friendly, thanks to its "smart" instruments that automatically adjust key and tempo of the music, but advanced musicians will appreciate the surprising amount of depth and variety of tools. GarageBand works well as a portable recording suite for full on musical arrangements, and comes with samplers and up to eight tracks of recording. In addition to iCloud and sync support with its desktop counterpart, Jam Session mode lets you hook up with friends to play and record together using other iOS devices. Spotify
One of the top contenders in the Internet radio market has finally brought their app to the iPad's big screen. Search through millions of songs and thousands of artists, share your favorite with friends, or create your own personal playlist and sync it with your other devices or the desktop Spotify app. Spotify offers a free (advertising-supported) service to its U.S. customers. A premium subscription to Spotify removes the ads and also lets you listen while offline. Read full review
