Uninstall WhiteSmooke Toolbar

WhiteSmoke Toolbar Win 7 Uninstall instructions:

1.) Uninstall "Search Protect" from Control Panel>Programs>Programs and Features

2.) Remove HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SearchProtect from the registry

3.) Uninstall "Sofware Version Updater" from Control Panel>Programs>Programs and Features

4.) Remove C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Local\SwvUpdater, where [Username] is the affected user and C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Local\SwvUpdater\status.cfg, where [Username] is the affected user

5.) Uninstall "WhiteSmoke B Toolbar" from Control Panel>Programs>Programs and Features, uncheck the "keep current browser settings" checkbox in the subsequent pop-up, and click "yes".

FireFox Removal:

a.) Remove FireFox extension "WhiteSmoke B" from Add-Ons>Extensions, uncheck "keep current browser settings" in the subsequent pop-up, and click "OK".



Chrome Removal:

a.) Remove Chrome extension from Settings>Extensions.
b.)Select your preferred default search engine in Chrome Settings by clicking "mange search engines", and then remove Conduit search engine.
c.) Remove Conduit url from "on startup" in Settings, by using the "set pages" link
d.) Check the "show home" checkbox under Appearance in Settings, delete Conduit URL, and selectyour preferred homepage as desired.



IE settings should automatically be reverted if "keep current browser settings" was unchecked during uninstallation from Control Panel>Programs>Programs and Features.
