More great apps

Find movies and sports scores, and bring light to your life.

Movies (by Flixster)

When it's a movie-going experience you want, go straight to the free Movies app, populated by Flixster.com. You'll find a logical tabbed interface where you can get movie showtimes, tickets, trailers, and maps to nearby theaters. Movie-watchers can hunt by title, theater, and rating. Flixster's iPhone app offers a seamless, rich experience for finding reviews, upcoming titles, new DVD releases, and some artsy flicks. Integration with Netflix, Facebook, and Yelp helps make Movies the ultimate customized cinematic companion--at least for the U.S, U.K., and Canada.

Sportacular

    Not yet rated

If it's a crisp-looking score-tracking app that follows major international sports associations and leagues you're after, look no further than Sportacular. This free app abounds with current standings and scores that automatically update when there's a game on. It now includes customizable push notifications, too. RSS feeds keep you updated on everything in the sporting universe, and you can browse for play highlights on YouTube from within the app. Sportacular Pro ($1.99) delivers the same package, ad-free.

MyLite Flashlight

Literally a flashlight of a different color, MyLite (free) goes a step beyond the majority of bland iPhone flashlight apps to bring you the full spectrum of colors and strobes, including SOS lighting and a lighter to get into the concert act. You may need MyLite's pulsing red rays as an emergency strobe or its neon green beacon to signal a friend in a crowded concert. At the very least, it will impress the kiddies and you'll be all set to host spontaneous dance parties.

Want something much more basic? Try this simple Flashlight app, also free.
