LaunchBar
LaunchBar is a popular and long-lived productivity-enhancing app that can literally change the way you use your Mac -- and that change can come gradually, as you learn the app's many tricks and secrets, bit by bit. Quicksilver
Do you like hot keys? If you're the type of person who likes to load Web sites, apps, and files quickly, check out this solid utility. Simply bring up the tiny Quicksilver interface to type a few letters of your chosen app, file, or Web site to get a list of possibilities--without your fingers ever leaving the keyboard.
But don't let the simple interface fool you; Quicksilver is more than just a way to search your hard drive. It has plenty under the hood for more-advanced operations. Once you've found what you're looking for, hit Tab to bring up a command list of possible actions you can perform like the ability to quickly send files to your Web site via FTP or send a document via your default e-mail client. Once you get used to using Quicksilver, you'll find that many things that used to take several steps become much more streamlined.

1Password
Anyone who uses the Web for a while knows that log-in information starts to pile up quickly. With online e-mail accounts, log-in information for online banking, and countless forums, most users start to use the same passwords for everything. It's pretty easy to see how this is a bad security practice.
Fortunately, you can download 1Password, which remembers all your passwords so you don't have to. Simply come up with a secure master password and then train 1Password to log in to sites for you. It integrates seamlessly with Apple's Mac OS X Keychain and generates complex passwords for you, making it impossible for anyone to crack your code. What's more, you can use 1Password's Go Fill option to automatically log in to your favorite sites (think of it as super secure bookmarks) to get you where you want to be quickly. Read full review
