NetNewsWire
Get the news your way with one of the best RSS clients we've seen for Mac. NetNewsWire offers a slick three-paned interface showing your favorite news outlets on the left, headlines on the right, and expanded stories on the bottom if you see a headline you want to more about. Adding new feeds couldn't be easier and you can set how often NetNewsWire updates its feed list so you always have the latest updates. NetNewsWire is easily one of the best and most intuitive ways to get the latest news on your Mac. To make the deal even sweeter, NetNewsWire has recently become a free program, making it a no-brainer for anyone who likes having the news as it happens.

NewsFire
NewsFire is another RSS reader for Mac that offers an intuitive user interface, though it may not come packed with as many features as NetNewsWire. Working off of iChat's user interface, NewsFire's simple two-paned layout lets news items bubble to the top like when new buddies come online in iChat. Clicking on feeds in the left pane displays news items in the right pane with brief summaries.
A click on the feeds title opens the story in a Safari window. We would have liked a third pane to display news stories for added convenience, but it's hard to fault NewsFire when other aspects of the interface are so intuitive.
