Apps and backups

Music isn't BlackBerry Desktop Manager's only gig. It also backs up your device, password-protected encryption optional, and can restore it. You can also automatically back up the BlackBerry's contents each time you plug in.

The desktop manager's application module is also key--you can install new apps that you downloaded to your Mac, and can also update existing apps. The manager was able to update more than 500 components on our BlackBerry Bold the first time we opened the apps tab, including some third-party apps.
