Noise reduction, out-of-focus areas

Clearly, the enhanced noise reduction does a much better job in out-of-focus areas than its predecessor. On my wishlist: intelligent NR that analyzes the image and automatically applies different amounts/types of noise reduction depending upon sharpness and tonal values.
