"Great if your into truckin' around the country."

    October 4, 2011  |   By Dutchman07

Version: 18 Wheels of Steel: American Long Haul

    Pros

Good graphics, large selection of trucks.

    Cons

The so called 'manual' is completely worthless and you have to figure it out or get help in related forums. Too bad ValueSoft an SCS could write simple instructions to the game. Big downer!

    December 15, 2010  |   By rylie2008

Version: 18 Wheels of Steel: American Long Haul

If I need an escape this game is the perfect way.

    Cons

Actually there is nothing I don't like about this game.

    Summary

I like that it gives you an insite on what trucking is really about.

"Good game but gets boring real fast."

    August 7, 2010  |   By dhbiker999

Version: 18 Wheels of Steel: American Long Haul

    Pros

Very good graphics, very realistic, but I agree with wiredchicken, why not become a real truck driver and make some real $ ?

    Cons

Very jumpy, I have a very fast computer and it still is not a smooth playing game. I played it for less than an hour, and started getting bored of it. Road rage and cheats make the game a little more fun.

    Summary

I can't complain very much because I got it off of my friend for free because he got bored of playing it. When I told my friend that I liked driving and racing games, he gave me this game. I had never heard of it and decided to try it out. Don't waste your $22 getting this game. Or at least try out the demo first. I thought it was a waste of time. If you want to play a real game, play COD6 :)

"Boring enough to just be free!!"

    December 28, 2008  |   By wiredchicken

Version: 18 Wheels of Steel: American Long Haul

    Pros

    Good Graphics
    Detailed scenery
    Very realistic

    Cons

    Boring
    No music while you drive
Why not become a real truck driver

    Summary

I thought this was a fun and interesting game. It can become Gran Theft Auto (game) when you decide to take off and crash into cars and speed. The graphics were very highly detailed in terms of the truck models and the background. Interesting trucking missions! 60 minutes is absolutly nothing because by the time you get a mission, the game is over. Lastly, who on earth would spend their time playing this game when you could just do it in real life and make money?

    "Nice Try"

    August 11, 2008  |   By troimer

Version: 18 Wheels of Steel: American Long Haul

    Pros

Once you get started in the game, it is pretty ingrossing. I like the attention to graphics; Though I would expect a little better from the developers, with the capabilities of computers now?!

    Cons

Slow to load and jumpy. Also the instructions or the menu could be clearer and a little more extensive.

    July 23, 2008  |   By popeye_76

Version: 18 Wheels of Steel: American Long Haul

    Pros

neat game... but way to short on the time limit.. you'd be better off to buy it, so you can play it when you feel like it. and as long as you want to.

    Cons

this would be a very good game. and is fun to play, but the 60 mins time limit, sure does suck
