We rate software based on five attributes. Interface. Are the software controls usable and aesthetically pleasing? Do buttons have tooltips to let users know what they do? Functionality. Is the output of the software high quality? Does it accomplish its tasks thoroughly and well? Features. Does the software include a lot of features, and are they relevant to its core purpose? Are the features useful? Stability. How well does the software run? Is it well engineered, and does it use minimal system resources? Does it install easily and uninstall completely? Download. Is the software a reasonable file size for its class? If the download is a demo, are the limitations such that a user can get a good idea of how it works? Note that some software on Download.com does not have a rating. That means we have not reviewed it yet. | |
