DreamQuest's 100% Free Gin Card Game for Windows provides all the tips and features necessary to play and win the classic card game Gin. This game software's excellent opponents and tutorials make this a fantastic option for card players.
The program's interface instantly grabs your attention with its cartoonish welcoming graphics and excellent tutorial. This in-game teaching tool teaches you all the rules, from making a meld to when to knock and how to draw cards. The program provides dozens of variously talented opponents, which is a nice touch. We were able to cycle through them quickly and easily. In addition, there are five different styles of Gin to choose from. Game play is a simple matter of clicking and dragging cards to make your ideal Gin hand and virtually knocking when you think you can win. The opponents are challenging and perfectly match their advertised skill sets. The program offers a nice feature that lets you receive Hints if you're stumped. It will clue you in on which card to drop or which to pick up from the pile. Overall, this gameware makes great efforts to teach newcomers with its tutorials, but it will still challenge experts with its opponent choices and its level of play.
Like other DreamQuest game programs, 100% Free Gin Card Game is freeware.

Version: 100% Free Gin Card Game for Windows 7.30
"It's free, but only if you install their toolbar"
Pros: Didn't actually play it, as I hate those "helpful" free toolbars. Could be a good game, who knows?
Cons: You can't install it without agreeing to use their toolbar. I have my own, thanks, don't need another! I wouldn't recommend this, although you've probably figured that out...
