Pros: Easy to participate in the game. Easy interface.
Cons: Childish graphics.
Summary: If you are a half assed chess player like me but would like to get a bit better,this is a great choice if you can get by the juvenile graphics. read more

"the suggestive help is really great"
Pros: I really stink at Chess, so the "suggest a move" feature is really great for me.
Cons: The cartoonish GUI looks cheap, but this is freeware. I don't have a right to complain.

Pros: It's free.
Cons: To do anything half-decent (change playing color, change characters, play at a level higher than intermediate) you have to buy the full version. My main issue, however, is that if you can jump and take the computer's piece, you HAVE to do that.
Summary: With the requirement of taking the computer's piece if you can, it effectively destroys any possibility of strategy. It also means you have to sacrifice pieces if the computer has set things up properly. You're forced to jump one of their pieces, and... read more
